  1. require X11 additional install from MacOS X install CD back
  2. For browsers other than Safari for MacOS X, download Schubert|It PDF plug-in . On Mac Intel, since the Schubert|It plug-in is not Universal Binary , it is necessary to start the browser in PowerPC mode in order the plug-in to work.
    • Go to the Finder
    • Select the icon of the browser of your choice;
    • Click on File> Show Info
    • In the window that has opened, select the check box start with Rosetta . Rosetta is an emulator code for PowerPC Mac Intel. The execution is slower, but it allows you to read PDF directly in your browser. return
